Rakesh Sharma served as an Air Force Test Pilot for 15 years during which period, was selected for the Joint Indo-Soviet Space Mission, 1984, which culminated in an 8 day Near Earth Orbit Space Flight. He was awarded the 'Ashoka Chakra' by the Indian Government and 'The Hero Of The Soviet Union' and 'The Order of Lenin' by the erstwhile Soviet Government.
He was seconded to the Industry in 1987 and served as the Chief Test Pilot of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. During this period,

his skills were extensively utilized on the country's prestigious Light Combat Aircraft Project and HAL's Intermediate Jet

Trainer Project.

He had served as the Chief Operations Officer at Automated Workflow and instilled his values of Quality and Ethics with a keen eye towards institutionalising processes in all internal areas that affect delivery.

He is now the Chairman Of The Board for Automated Workflow.
